Formal identification is yet to take place, but the family of Reanne Coulson have been informed.

A body has been found in the search for a woman who was last seen in Coventry – as a man has been charged with murder.

Reanne Coulson, 34, went missing in May and concerns were raised by her family after she failed to contact them on her birthday on 17 June.

Officers searching for Ms Coulson found a body in Binley Woods on Friday afternoon, West Midlands Police said.

Formal identification is yet to take place, but Ms Coulson’s family has been informed, officers added.

Mohammed Durnion was arrested as part of the investigation into her disappearance. The 42-year-old has now been charged with murder.

A second man, Adam Moore, who’s 38 and from the city, has been charged with assisting an offender.

Both will appear before Coventry Magistrates’ Court on Saturday.

Detective Superintendent Jim Munro, from the force’s major crime unit, said their thoughts remain with Ms Coulson’s family “at this deeply distressing time”.

He continued to say: “While formal identification still needs to take place, we do believe it is Reanne. We’ve charged a man with murder, and another for assisting an offender, but our inquiries to establish exactly what happened and why are ongoing,”.

Ms Coulson’s older brother Ashley told West Midlands Police he wanted to thank the public for their help but asked that the family are given privacy whilst they grieve.

Ms Coulson was last seen leaving a food bank on Raglan Street in Coventry late in the evening of 21 May.

Her twin sister Kirsten also made a direct appeal to people who were in nearby Vauxhall Street on the same night, asking them to come forward if they had information about her disappearance.
