Birmingham rapper Twista Cheese jailed for flamethrower attack in a petrol station. Goes on a IG rant and hopes to be released next year.

Twista Cheese, real name Omar Abdirizak was declared a “dangerous offender” as he was sentenced to eight years and nine months at Birmingham Crown Court this week.

In the incident that occurred in January he used an aerosol can and lighter to blast flames at a shop worker at the Holloway Head service station in Birmingham’s city centre.

He also went on to cause what is claimed to be £7k in damage to a Tango Ice Blast machine.

The incident occurred after a dispute he had with the shop worker after being wrongly overcharged for fuel and then trying to pay for cigarettes.

The rapper who has an underlying diagnosis of schizophrenia, went viral due to a TikTok video threatening Tommy Robinson amid the widespread civil unrest in 2024.

His management team posted from his account which has over 9k followers.

They confirmed that the rapper had been locked up and “remain hopeful and optimistic that Twista could be home in 2026”.

The post urged supporters to keep streaming his music and added: “This is not the end – only a pause.”
