UK Rapper PS Hitsquad, real name, Alieu Koroma has had a tumultous journey to stardom to say the least. In this piece we uncover the highs, the lows, the music, as well as the growth that PS has seen due to the refreshing new style of music he is releasing.
Early Life:
PS, who is of Sierra Leonean heritage, grew up in Southwark, South London, with Peckham playing a significant role in his upbringing. He grew up listening to the sounds of his heritage, reggae staples such as Bob Marley, as well as Peckham legend Giggs.
Growing up in South London, PS faced a number of challenges during his teenage years. His journey eventually led him towards the world of UK drill, where he would establish himself as one of the scene’s most respected artists.
His introduction to the scene came with The Truth, an early release that helped put PS on the radar within UK drill community. The track quickly gained attention among drill fans, with PS developing a reputation for his distinctive delivery and raw approach to storytelling.
However, his rise was interrupted by periods of incarceration, which hindered his musical progress and kept him away from the scene at various points in his career.
Early Music & Zone 2:
PS began his rap career under Zone 2, which was a UK Drill collective based in Peckham, South-East London. Their main feud would be with Moscow17, which was another UK Drill collective based in Southwark. The groups would send diss tracks to eachother and at times these online insults escalted drastically to the point of physical violence.
The group overall is not as active due to heavy scrutiny by the Police. At the time of writing PS Hitsquad is no longer allowed to be in his hometown of Peckham, nor is he permitted to communicate with his associates such Trizzac and Kwengface. Only in June, 2026 was he was able to perform and headline at SXSW festival. His prior attempts to perform were denied due to police not permitting it.
Discography:
Prior to any projects PS Hitsquad had a plethora of singles a such as his collaboration with Kwengface as well as his 2020 Plugged In With Fumez The Engineer with them seeing 7.3M streams and 6.2M streams respectively. Below we will have a look through some of his projects.
Life On License:
On July 3, PS Hitsquad would drop one of the best projects of 2026 entitled Life On License which featured exciting artists such as Cristale, Lihtz, Deema, Joshua Baraka as well as Chicago star VonOff1700. Tracks like Glorified Gangster and Free Your Mind which feature Joshua Baraka & Lihtz respectively seem to have some inspiration from his heritage as well as Reggae vibes.
Life On License is PS’s debut album and goes through the stages of his life. This includes being on license, prison, reminiscing on what he could of been as well as reflecting through his life so far. It also features skits where he showcases introspection, where his head was at the time of recording as well as self-development.
Community Service:
PS Hitsquad’s debut project was a mixtape titled Community Service and was released on June 9, 2023. This project features Kwengface, Oyinboy, Cristale and Tiny Boost. The standout single on the project was Guten Tag which has over 17M streams on Spotify alone at the time of writing. Streetlife – Lofi mix which went viral in 2023 during the “Remix Drill” era.
Legal troubles:
In his interview with Internet personality & producer Walkz, PS would speak on his first time going to prison and stated how he’s been incarcerated eight times in the last 10 years; Additionally he went onto say that his longest stretch out of prison during that time had been a year.
On July 1, 2022 he was sentenced to 3 years and 10 months for being knowingly concerned in the supply of class A drugs and possession of a bladed article. This sentence was later increased to 5 years and 3 months under the Unduly Lenient Sentence scheme after his original sentence was viewed as unduly lenient by the Court of Appeal.
Brief remand:
In April, 2026, he was remanded to prison for approximately a month after his younger brother unfortunately died which led to him suffering from mental health episodes which saw him end up back incarcerated.
