Wizkid’s son, Champz, whose real name is Boluwatife Balogun, has fired back at an X influencer, Daniel Regha, for dissing his newly released debut EP Champion’s Arrival barely weeks after it dropped.
Regha stated that Champz should “stay in school” and went on to say “all tracks on the project are still below today’s standard even for a teen”.
He went even further with his tweet stating that “There’s no originality or creativity shown, revolves around one word, and the project will only get hyped based on the fact that he’s Wizkid’s son and stanship.”
Wizkid's son (Tife Balogun) should stay in school, participate in school related activities like quiz, or focus on something he's passionate about, cos that debut EP is a big no. It's no news that the standard of music has dropped significantly in recent times, but all tracks on…
Champz wasn’t too pleased about Regha’s comments and would go on to diss the influencer in a freestyle posted online.
In the freestyle, the rapper mocked Regha’s comments while dismissing nepotism claims.
Champz took direct shots at the influencer, accusing him of talking too much online despite whilst having no real life achievements.
He went on to make jokes about his appearance and social media presence.
In the freestyle he said:
“Worst EP but you ain’t done sh!t. Calling me a nepo man I don’t give a flip. Your hairline’s doing U-turns. You’re a banger boy on Twitter and you stay talking sh!t.”
“Your hairline during U turn, you are are banger boy on twitter doing shit”
Danie Regha would see all this and double down with his initial statement and compare the freestyle to the highly mocked ‘Adult Lullaby’ by Carter Efe; Additionally he accused the rapper of reading the bars of his phone.
Never thought anyone can outdo Carter Efe's adult lullaby, but Champz be proving me wrong. Shout-out to an artiste who freestyles by reading from his phone.
