A Venezuelan company boss admitted to selling bogus parts to leading airlines across the globe in a “significant and audacious” fraud.
Today Jose Zamora Yrala pled guilty to fraudulent trading related to the falsification of aircraft parts documentation.
Yrala ran UK-based aviation company AOG Technics to sell his faulty and fake airplane parts.
The case stems from a scheme between January 2019 and December 2023 where he allegedly defrauded customers, including airlines, maintenance providers, and parts suppliers, by falsifying the origin, status, and condition of CFM56 engine parts used in Boeing 737 and Airbus A320 aircraft.
His large fraud led to global safety alerts from aviation authorities in the UK, US, and Europe, which resulted in the grounding of planes in 2023.
His stage name when he was a DJ was Santa Militia and he performed across Europe including the UK, Spain & Italy.
Yrala faces up to 10 years in prison for his actions.
