Award winning rapper Nines, real name Courtney Freckleton – today pleaded guilty to three offences at Kingston Crown Court.
This comes after being arrested at London’s Heathrow airport in November 2023.
The rapper hailing from Church Road, North-West London was admitted guilt to all his charges.
These charges are for supplying a Class B substance (in this case cannabis), Cannabis possession on 15 November 2024 and failure to comply with a Serious Crime Prevention Order (by failing to notify of a change of address).
Nines bail has been refused and he will be on remand until sentencing next month.
He faces considerable time in prison for these crimes unfortunately.
In 2020 Nines managed to win best hip-hop act at the MOBO Awards in 2020; in addition he also was awarded album of the year at the MOBO’s with his ‘Crabs In A Bucket’ project.
He managed to outcompete acts such as J Hus and Stormzy for that feat in 2020.
Last year the rapper announced he was retiring from being a rapper at the age of 34.
His career spanned over a decade and he would deliver eight full length projects.
He would humbly shift away from being an artist himself with his farewell album ‘Quit Whilst Your Ahead’.
