Although UK Rap is a male dominated scene, we’ve seen artists such as Little Simz, ENNY and Stefflon Don reach mainstream success.

In 2026, the UK Rap scene is thriving with a batch of young women who showcase that talent knows no gender. To help celebrate International Women’s Day, This article will be dedicated too Female UK Rappers you need to take in this year.

VVSMYGWEN:

From as early as 2024, we’ve been saying that VVSMYGWEN (previously Gwen Stacy) is next up. She’s been steadily building traction in the UK underground scene with bangers such as RIKS ON and JIMMY CHOO, with the latter filmed in Lagos, Nigeria. The alté rapper has also been locking in with the Nigerian underground scene and recently dropped her collab with Luwa.Mp4 called Hannah Montana (HM). We’ve done an interview with her in the past where she stated that their was a time she wanted to quit music. Thank God she didn’t do that.

Angelina Venus:

Although she doesn’t have many official releases, Angelina Venus is on another level. You have to see her live to fully appreciate her skillset. Last year, she appeared on BBC 1Xtra with Sir Spyro and is set to be featured on another BBC 1Xtra session alongside a host of other talented artists. I’d recommend investing in Angelina now — because the price is due to go to the Moon, Venus and beyond.

Nubia:

Nubia is a British-Sudanese artist who we’d love to see break through into the industry. She’s highly versatile, capable of delivering gritty rap tracks as well as more upbeat records. The bilingual rapper has recently gained significant attention after pulling up to Steeze Factory to drop SALAM, where she raps about the ongoing civil war in her home country of Sudan. We’d love to see her lean further into her conscious rap bag, as she has the knowledge and skill to do so. She’s definitely worth paying attention to.

Subreehzy:

An artist who is criminally underrated is Subreehzy. The East London rapper featured on BBC Three’s The Rap Game UK (Season 6) in 2024 — and if you check her out, you’ll understand why. Her music blends elements of grime, real rap, R&B and DnB. Her ability to rap and then hit a high note right after is insane. With the right push, she’ll be able to reach the next stage of her career. She has recently released her new single Popped Off, which is available to stream on all DSPs.

TeeZandos:

Zandos is someone who has been rapping for at least six years and is signed to independent label GB Records. She saw major success on the joint Plugged In w/ Fumez alongside Cristale. Prior to that, she delivered bangers like Need Focus and Phone Call. The rapper, who hails from Homerton in East London, has recently been upping her work rate this year following the release of her project Still Odd. Go check her out.

Cristale:

Cristale is an artist who is definitely due to blow up. She already has multiple songs with millions of streams. Among the most notable are the Plugged In w/ Fumez joint with TeeZandos, as well as Antisocial, Bong Bing and Roadents. This May, she’ll be surrounded by even more greatness as she performs at City Splash 2026 alongside heavyweights such as Gyptian and Jada Kingdom. The coming years are likely to be big for the 24-year-old.

Wohdee:

Another artist set to perform at City Splash 2026 is Birmingham’s Wohdee. The West Midlands rapper first landed on everyone’s radar with her hit My Shayla. She has been steadily building traction in the UK scene. On 10 October 2025, she dropped her EP Mind Games Pt. 2, which is well worth a listen. Hopefully, she can follow in the footsteps of the legendary Lady Leshurr.

Klyrae:

We’re staying in Birmingham for another artist: Klyrae. The Brummie rapper has been grinding since 2019, when she dropped her debut single Money Talks. Her artistry has continued to develop and expand since then. As a result, in August 2025 she featured on deed0t’s single Stand & Lean — a rapper known for his crazy flows. In 2024, she also appeared on Trillary Bank’s track Electric Avenue. She’s definitely an artist who can help further cement Brum on the map.

Plain Jane:

Plain Jane is a versatile rapper hailing from South London. Capable of flowing across multiple beats and sub-genres, she’s set to become a force to be reckoned with in the near future — if she can maintain consistency. As a talented young woman at the beginning of her career, the only way for her is up, and we have a feeling that’s exactly where she’s heading. Go check her out.

MiMi Mxnroe:

MiMi Mxnroe has been rapping for nearly two decades and has received a co-sign from Scorcher. Over the past year, she’s become far more consistent with her releases and performances. The grime artist has the potential to become the Queen of Grime if she stays on her current path. She’s been smashing it on grime sets recently and could finally cement her place in the mainstream once and for all.

Lztae:

Lztae is an artist I believe has a very bright future in the UK scene. Her music blends elements of electronic, alt-rap, indie and rock, carving out a lane of her own. As she also works in fashion design, her style reflects her sound — unique, fast and electric. Still in the infancy of her career, she’s definitely someone I’d invest in, as her potential feels limitless. With the continued popularity of the UK underground scene, she shouldn’t have an issue making that impact.

Breezy Bee:

Breezy Bee is a relatively new artist who’s fresh on the scene. On 9 February, she released her debut single So Far. The track captures the daily grind in London in a mellow tone. She also appeared on the International Women’s Day Cypher, which is set to drop on 14 March on our YouTube channel. She’s someone to keep an eye on in the near future — especially after securing her first radio play with Ellie Prohan on Kiss Xtra.

Nicole Blakk:

Nicole Blakk is an artist we predict will go clear by 2030. The multilingual rapper is capable of navigating multiple genres and musical themes. She has had several viral moments, including rapping in Hindi and performing for DJ AG. Her biggest moment so far came when she featured on Dave’s track Fairchild, taken from his critically acclaimed album The Boy Who Played The Harp. She’s someone you definitely need to check out.

LedByHer:

LedByHer is unique in more ways than one. Raised in the Norfolk countryside, she later moved to London at 19 to pursue her music dreams — a decision that seems to have paid off. Her sound blends elements of the iconic UK underground and alt scene. She began her career with her debut single Candyland. Her unique story, combined with her distinctive voice, helps elevate her artistry while also representing musicians and fans from underrepresented areas such as her native Norfolk.

Chanelly:

Chanelly is an artist who is bringing wave rap back and has been cosigned by WeWantWraiths, Headie One & many more. She blends Wave rap with an RnB twist. The best way to be introduced to the North London artist is to take in her latest project Empathetic Soul. In this project she brings in vibes that are comparable to the likes of Future. Chanelly is a rising star, ensure you bet your Chips on her.

Pariah:

Pariah is an artist who seemingly came out of nowhere. She’s been gaining traction in the UK and had Little Torment feature on the remix of her debut track Inner Hunger. She has maintained her consistency with her new single Become One. The South London rapper blends real rap over dark rap beats. Pariah is well connected and has been receiving support from the likes of Lala, Wiley and Amaria. Definitely one to watch.

Lashanté:

Lashanté is the new kid on the block. To appreciate her you NEED to hear her perform live. The talented artist has recently released her first single Peaker Fi Dem. To appreciate this new and budding talent you have to check her out on the International Women’s Day Cypher we did in collaboration with Charged Up Studios which you can see here.

Prynlee:

Prynlee is an artist who has been viral on multiple occasions due to her past appearances on UK Battle Rap platform PenGame. The artist hailing from Prynlee also appeared on our IWD Cypher and she demonstrated to showcase her ability. She’s been in the game for about three years and has been consistent. With the correct rollout strategy she should be able to be the UK’s equivalent of Sexyy Red.
