Bafta-winning actor Micheal Ward, known for his pivotal roles in Top Boy, Small Axe and Blue Story, seeks to get rape & sexual assault charges dismissed.
A court has heard that Micheal Ward is seeking to have his charges rape and sexual assault charges dropped.
He currently has two charges for rape, two charges for assault by penetration and a singular count for sexual assault,
These charges relate to an alleged incident involving one woman in January 2023.
Ward appeared at Snaresbrook Crown Court today for a hearing where he was meant to give a plea and prepare for trial; however his lawyers requested for a dismissal hearing, now set for December 5th.
The Top Boy actor remains on bail under the condition he doesn’t contact the alleged victim.
Ward was granted bail after appearing at Thames Magistrates Court in August where he confirmed his personal details.
The actor who was arrested in July has denied all allegations, saying “I deny the charges against me entirely,” and that he wished to co-operate with police fully throughout their investigation.
