After seven years, Tiffany Calver has chosen to leave BBC 1Xtra, with her final show broadcasting on Friday 2 January.

CassKidd will cover the show (9pm-11pm) from Friday 9 January until April when the new schedule will commence.

When speaking about her departure she said:

“It has been the greatest honour of my life to be a part of one of the best radio stations in the world for so many years. There has not been a week where I have taken that responsibility lightly since the start, and I will miss it dearly.”

“I want to say thank you to everyone who has let me champion, support, and play their records as well as the BBC for supporting my never-ending quest to keep finding and sharing the music I love every week. That part will never change, as big as this one might feel. It’s now time to continue on my journey but I have made the decision to do that outside of the 8th floor. I am really excited for my next chapter.”
