It is now confirmed that D4vd is not currently considered a murder suspect in the investigation into the death of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas.

Her decomposed remains were discovered in the front trunk of a Tesla registered to Burke — yet police say there is insufficient evidence to charge him at this time.

On September 8, the body of a young girl was found in the front trunk of an impounded Tesla that had been parked and untouched for weeks in the Hollywood Hills area.

The car, reportedly towed after being abandoned, had been ticketed for violating the 72-hour parking ordinance days prior to the discovery.

After forensic analysis, the body was identified as that of Celeste Rivas, who had been missing since April 2024 from her home in Lake Elsinore, California.

Investigators believe she had likely died several weeks before her body was found, due to the advanced state of decomposition.

Officials from the LAPD’s Robbery-Homicide Division say the case is being treated with the utmost seriousness, although they have not formally classified it as a homicide.

The cause and manner of her death remain undetermined until a full autopsy report is released.

As part of their enquiries, detectives executed a search warrant at a Hollywood Hills residence where d4vd had stayed.

Items including computers and digital devices were reportedly seized as evidence.

The property is near the location where the Tesla had been parked and later impounded.

Despite the dramatic circumstances, police emphasise that d4vd has never been arrested, nor named as a suspect.

Legal experts say that without a definitive cause of death, it is very difficult for investigators to bring chargesceven with the body located in a vehicle tied to him.
