Reform party leader Nigel Farage posts a bizarre AI video of himself as grime rapper and has caused much stir online.
Nigel Farage has posted a AI video showing him as a rapper & DJ – and the online reaction has the internet divided.
The Reform UK leader shared the clip on X, describing it as “a little bit of fun”.
The full-length video, called “Farage Like Garage”, is available on YouTube.
In the AI-generated video Farage is seen DJ’ing in a club and dancing alongside a young woman.
In the clip he shared, the fake Farage performs a dance routine on Clacton Pier in his constituency while wearing a thick gold chain and white fur coat.
Lyrics can also be heard declaring: “You thought it was Farage – nah mate, Nigel Garage. Prime minister of the pub, of the pint, of the people. Bo selecta.”
So far, Farage’s Twitter post has been viewed 1.2 million times and shared 1,300 times.
On YouTube, the full video has been watched 38,000 times since it was first posted nine days ago.
PR specialist Rhea Freeman said Farage was simply looking for attention.
She told LBC: “It’s definitely got us all talking, and I guess if you want to get back into the spotlight again, if you’ve been out of the spotlight for a while, what you want is something that people go ‘what on earth is this’?
“I’ve watched it more times than I care to admit because it’s just so bizarre.”
Farage was hit with banter and criticism. He is accused of not being in regularly Clacton despite being the MP in that constituency.
