Two arrested after man, 41, shot dead outside Costco in Croydon

Police are still urgently asking for witnesses of the shooting to come forward.

The Metropolitan Police confirmed it they’ve arrested the two individuals – a 41-year-old man and woman, 37 – following the fatal shooting of a man, 41, in Croydon, south London, on Thursday.

Police said they arrested the man on suspicion of murder and the woman on suspicion of assisting an offender.

An investigation was launched after officers were called to the scene of the shooting shortly after 5pm on Thursday.

There, emergency crews found the man suffering from gunshot wounds.

Despite being treated by paramedics, he tragically died at the scene.

The Met say his next of kin have been informed and that they are currently being supported by specially trained officers.

Detective Chief Inspector Dan Whitten said: “My thoughts remain with the victim’s family as they come to terms with this tragic loss.

“Our team of specially trained officers continue to support them as our investigation progresses.

“We would urge any witnesses to come forward and share information with us.”
