It is alleged that UK Rapper & Grime legend Ghetts has been remanded for causing death by dangerous driving.
The Metropolitan police allege that the MC failed to stop after hitting a 20-year-old Nepalese Student Yubin Tamang in Redbridge Lane East, Ilford.
The artist and actor in the Netflix hit Supacell who played the character Krazy is also alleged to have caused death by driving on the road whilst intoxicated on alcohol.
Ghetts appeared at Stratford Magistrates’ Court on Monday, the same day the man died in hospital.
The rapper, from Woodford Green, was remanded into custody and is due to appear at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 27 October.
The Grime artist has also appeared on the BBC/Netflix drama Champion in 2023.
Ghetts, whose real name is Justin Jude Clarke-Samuel won a MOBO for Best Male Act in 2021 & in 2024 he won a Pioneer Award as well as a BET Hip-Hop award for Best International Flow.
Justin Clarke-Samuel also won the Best Mixtape Award for his project titled ‘The Calm Before The Storm’.
