Tommy Robinson denies harassing two journalists

The 42-year-old far-right political activist, whose legal name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court accused of two counts of harassment causing fear of violence.

The 42-year-old appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Thursday charged with two counts of harassment causing fear of violence.

The offences are alleged to have taken place through his Twitter account between 5 and 7 August 2024.

It is alleged he harassed MailOnline journalists Andrew Young and Jacob Dirnhuber through his X social media account between 5 and 7 August last year.

Prosecutor Ben Holt told the court: “It is alleged that the defendant has harassed two journalists and their family members through the use of a Twitter or X account.”

Tommy Robinson is also facing a separate trial in October next year over an accusation that he failed to provide the Pin code for his mobile phone when stopped by Kent Police in Folkestone in July 2024.
