Dave, Central Cee & PinkPantheress are three UK music artists who will be taking part of a new initiative.

The initiative will also involve other global musicians such as The Weeknd, SZA, 2Hollis as well as British-Nigerian artist Slawn.

Freedom for Sudan is set to hold an auction between January 6-12 in partnership with globals artists in order to raise money for Sudan, which is currently in the largest humanitarian crisis since records began.

Funds raised will be donated to Sudanese non-profits and will be used to provide aid as well as essential medical care and food.

This auction will run via GalaBid online from January 6-12 and offers exciting opportunities and experiences such as having your picture drawn by PinkPantheress, original art by Slawn, mentoring & feedback sessions with Akinola Davies jr and keiyaA amongst other things.

Sudan has unfortunately faced continued war since 2023 between the Sudanese armed forces (SAF) and UAE backed paramilitary force called the ‘Rapid Support Force’ which was originally created and operated by the Sudanese government and evolved from the Janjaweed.

The Janjaweed is an Arab militia group primarily active in Sudan, particularly in the Darfur region, with reported operations in eastern Chad, Yemen, and Libya.

They were used by the Sudanese government as a counter-insurgency force against rebel groups such as the Sudan Liberation Army (SLA) and the Justice and Equality Movement (JEM).

They have been accused of the ethnic cleansing of non-Arab ethnic groups such as the Fur, Masalit, and Zaghawa; Additionally they have been accused of war-crimes involving recruitment of children, rape, killing of civilians.
