Charlie Kirk’s wife Erika Kirk has addressed the public for the first time since his assassination.

She spoke on having to tell her youngest daughter that her husband is “On a work trip with Jesus so he can afford your blueberry budget”.

Mrs Kirk thanked everyone who supported her husband and ended her emotional public address saying “May God bless America”.

The suspect was apprehended on Thursday and is a 22-year-old named Tyler Robinson.

Mr Kirk, a close ally and supporter of U.S. President Donald Trump & Israel, was killed by a single bullet as he spoke onstage at an outdoor amphitheatre at Utah Valley University on Wednesday.

Motive around his killing is unclear but is likely due to political reasons.
